Terms of use

RoWork is an independent platform and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Roblox Corporation. We are an independent marketplace for people who build on Roblox. “Roblox” is used here only to describe what our users work on.

Using RoWork does not exempt you from Roblox’s own Terms of Use. Where they conflict with anything you arrange here, theirs govern what happens on their platform.

You must be at least 16. Everything commercial — contracts, payments, payouts, selling on the marketplace, listing a project for sale — is 18+, because our payment provider requires an adult who is legally liable for the account and we have no way to verify a guardian.

One account per person. Do not share it, do not sell it, and do not buy somebody else’s.

These are not preferences. They are hard limits in the code.

• Robux, in any direction, for anything.
• Roblox accounts, account access, credentials, cookies or two-factor codes.
• Game passes, developer products, in-game items, currency, boosts or advantages.
• Group ownership or ranks.
• Content you did not make and do not hold the rights to sell.
• Exploits, cheats, bots or alt-generation tools.

Roblox prohibits selling their virtual content outside their platform, and our payment provider independently bars selling in-game currency or items by anyone who is not the operator of the virtual world. We are not. Both would have to change for any of this to.

What changes hands on RoWork is a person’s labour or a file they own. A contract buys somebody’s time. A marketplace purchase buys a licence to source they wrote.

Acquisitions are discovery only. We take no payment for one, hold no funds, and transfer nothing on Roblox. Any transaction is executed directly between the parties with their own legal and tax advisors.

RoWork keeps 10% of a contract or a marketplace sale. The rate is fixed onto each contract when it is created, so changing it later never rewrites something already agreed.

Payment is in ordinary currency only. Funds for a contract are held until the work is accepted or the acceptance window closes. RoWork is not a bank, holds no user balance you can withdraw on request, and is not an escrow service.

Revenue-share arrangements on projects are not enforceable by us. That money never passes through this platform, so there is nothing for us to hold and no dispute process that can reach it. Get it in writing with the other party.

We can warn, remove content, suspend or close an account. Every one of those requires a written reason, is recorded, and is sent to you.

If you think a decision was wrong, reply to the notification or write to support@rowork.dev. A different person will look at it.

You keep everything you own. Posting a portfolio piece or a listing gives us permission to display it on RoWork and nothing more — no sublicensing, no training, no resale.

If somebody is selling your work, report it from the listing. You do not need an account to file a claim.

RoWork connects people and holds the record of what they agreed. We are not a party to the work itself, we do not guarantee quality, and we cannot make somebody finish a job.

Where the law allows us to limit liability, we limit it to the fees we took on the transaction in question. Where it does not — and there are places it does not, particularly for consumers in the EU and UK — the law wins and this paragraph does not apply.

If these terms change materially you will be told before it takes effect, not after. The date at the top is always accurate.
