Cookie policy

Short, because there is not much to say.

Why there is no cookie banner

RoWork sets no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies and no third-party trackers. Consent is only legally required for cookies that are not strictly necessary, and we do not set any.

A banner asking permission to do nothing would be theatre. If that ever changes, a banner appears and it will default to declining.

What we do set

  • A session cookie. It keeps you signed in. It is HTTP-only, so JavaScript cannot read it, and it is marked secure and same-site. Deleting it signs you out.
  • A theme preference. Stored in your browser, never sent to us, so the page does not flash the wrong colours before it loads.
  • A sound preference. Same — local to your browser, off by default.

That is the complete list. The last two are not cookies in the strict sense; they live in local storage and never leave your device.

Third parties

Our payment provider sets its own cookies on its own pages when you go through payout setup, which happens on their site under their policy. Nothing they set reaches this domain.

RoWork will never ask you for your Roblox password, your .ROBLOSECURITY cookie, an account token or a two-factor code — not by email, not in a message, not on any page. Anybody who does is not us.
